In addition to professional chapters, the department also nurtures student-driven platform such as the Mechanical Engineering Association of CCET (MAXCET). The association organize technical talks, competitions, workshops and cultural programs. They serve as vibrant forums for students to develop leadership, teamwork, creativity, and communication skills, while also promoting social responsibility and lifelong learning. The association provide a holistic environment that complements academic studies and prepares students for meaningful contributions to the profession and society.

MAXCET

The inauguration of Mechanical Engineering Association (MAXCET) was held on 14th September 2018 in the CCET campus. The official meeting was presided by chairman of the college Rev. Fr. Mathew Arekalam CMI and the chief guest for the day was Mr. Jayasankar, former Principal Consultant, TCS Cochin.

Mechanical Engineering Association aims to maintain the high level of interaction existing between the students and the faculty members. Apart from this, it organizes technical sessions, workshops and contests through a close tie-up with the industry. It also assists in managing the resources and labs of the department.

The goals of Mechanical Engineers Association of CCET is to provide access to the latest technical information and research, and career opportunities. It also aims to motivate the students to organize, to coordinate & to participate in Co-curricular Activities and Extra- Curricular Activities by conducting conferences & seminars of technical interest, technical workshops, technical tours, meetings, and quiz on a regular basis. Such Activities helps the students to be more competitive in the era of Globalization.
