A CMI EDUCATIONAL INSTITUTION
Innovation and Entrepreneurship Development Cell (IEDC)
The Innovation and Entrepreneurship Development Cell (IEDC) at Carmel College of Engineering and Technology, known as ‘Enventure,’ serves as a dynamic platform for nurturing the entrepreneurial mindset among students. It is a haven for aspiring innovators who wish to transform ideas into impactful ventures. Under the guidance of Er. Anoop R. S., Assistant Professor and Head of the Department of Basic Science, the IEDC plays a pivotal role in promoting creativity, innovation, and startup culture within the campus.
The cell regularly organizes workshops, startup bootcamps, idea pitching sessions, hackathons, and mentorship programs to inspire and equip students with the necessary skills to pursue entrepreneurship. Through collaborations with industry experts, successful entrepreneurs, and startup incubators, Enventure provides practical exposure and support to help students refine their business ideas and prototype development.
Since its inception, the IEDC at Carmel College has been steadily expanding its reach and influence. It encourages interdisciplinary collaboration, motivating students from all streams to participate in innovation-driven projects. The initiative continues to grow stronger each year, building a community of young innovators ready to create sustainable solutions that contribute positively to society and the economy.
