Our Principal

Dr. Josephkutty Jacob, graduated, in Electrical Engineering, from Kerala University in 1986. He did his Post Graduate programme in Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur in 1996 and Ph. D in Cochin University of Science and Technology 2009. He is noted for his research publications in International Journals and fruitful participation in National and International Conferences.

Throughout the career, he has taught a diverse range of subjects, reflecting the comprehensive expertise in the field. He has served as a member of various administrative and academic bodies of the university, including the Senate, Academic Council and presently a member of Faculty of Engineering, and Board of Studies (UG), CUSAT. Additionally, he has held leadership roles such as Head of the Division of Electrical & Electronics Engineering for 15 years and Principal of Cochin University College of Engineering Kuttanad for five and a half years.

His experience extends to serving as a Research Guide, an Expert Committee Member for AICTE, and active participation in projects under NCAAH, CUSAT. In fine, he is a person with rare charm of academic, administrative and professional accomplishments.

  2. Retired from the post of Professor and Principal, Cochin University College of Engineering Kuttanad (CUCEK), Cochin University of Science and Technology (CUSAT) on 31.05.24.
  3. Professor in Electrical Engineering in Cochin University of Science and Technology from August 2009 to September 2020.
  4. Associate Professor and Head of Division from March 2004 to August 2009.
  5. Reader and Head of Division, Electrical & Electronics Engineering from March 2001 to March 2004.

  7. Joined at Cochin University of Science and Technology as Lecturer in June 1999.
  8. 10 Years of experience in Ministry of Information and Broadcasting at Doordarsan Kendra, Bangalore and other centers from August 1989 to June 1999.
